The Quartz Company came to BACKLABS at the very beginning. The brief was not a website — it was a digital presence capable of establishing credibility and turning interest into real customer enquiries.

DemonstratesWeb as business infrastructure

01

The problem

The Quartz Company was starting from the beginning. As a new business entering a competitive home-improvement market, it needed more than a basic website.

It needed to look established, communicate trust, and give potential customers a clear path from discovering the company to requesting samples, exploring surfaces and making an enquiry. Without that, a new name in a considered-purchase market has nothing to stand on.

02

The thinking

The website needed to work as part of the company's sales process rather than as an online brochure. So the experience was structured around how someone actually approaches buying a new worktop — a slow, high-consideration decision made largely on trust and material.

That meant designing for the sequence a customer moves through, not the sitemap: discovery, materials, trust, process, samples, quote. Every page has a job in that sequence, and the quote and sample routes are reachable from all of them.

The build

  • 01Website design

A presentation built to make a brand-new company read as established and credible from the first screen.

  • 02Website development

Built for speed and for mobile, where most home-improvement research starts.

  • 03Product presentation

Surfaces shown in a way that lets someone compare colour, finish and price without leaving the flow.

  • 04Customer journey

Structured around the real buying sequence rather than a conventional page hierarchy.

  • 05Quote-focused conversion paths

Routes to a fixed-price quote available from every stage of the journey.

  • 06Sample request journey

A low-commitment first step for customers not ready to request a full quote.

  • 07Trust and credibility elements

Warranty, process, fitting and review content positioned where hesitation actually occurs.

  • 08Digital strategy

How the business presents itself, what it leads with, and how enquiries are captured and followed up.

The outcome

The Quartz Company went from a new business without an established digital presence to having a professional platform that actively supports customer acquisition.

The business now generates multiple customers each month through its digital presence.
